Bill Winett’s Experience

  • Board member, treasurer, co-chair of communications committee

    Willowbrook Arts Camp

    (Non-Profit Organization Management industry)

    October 2008Present (1 year 2 months)

Willowbrook is a 27-year old day camp that provides a stunningly enriching environment. Campers choose what they want to pursue, including such activities as pottery, photography, painting, singing, dancing, acting, and the environment. But even more significant is that many of the campers return for many years; and as the campers get older, they take on more responsibility, becoming guides and mentors for the younger children. I have heard from many alumni talking about how their best memories and closest friends were made at the camp.

My daughter has gone to Willowbrook for 7 years, and I have seen and felt the effects of this environment first-hand. My love for the camp led me to accepting an invitation to become a participant on the board.
