Brighton Hall Academy was established by my sister Adamma Ibeawuchi to provide a world-class international education for Nigerians and non-Nigerians. The school is a Pre-school, Primary school for students ages 2 to 9 years. The idea for establishing the school originated from the knowledge that several million persons of Nigerian decent live in the United States on a more or less permanent basis and they often express concern that their own children do not know Nigeria, it’s culture and languages. They also realize that their children are so “American” that they would be hard pressed to cope with just being sent to Nigeria to live with relatives there, go to school and learn the culture. These parents saw the need for a International school in Nigeria that would meet the educational needs of their children while at the same time introducing them to Nigerian culture in a setting
they would be comfortable in.
