Always looking for interesting challenges
Hamburg Area, Germany
41 year old IT-Duder, 30+ years silently monitoring the packets, College-drop out. No PhD, no papers written in the last 30 years.
NO reputation in IT-Business, OpenSource-Community, Linux-Kernel-Dev or other things you can think of. Still dedicated, when it comes to OSS, EFF, FSF, GNU, Software Architecture, History of Programming Languages, Security, Government and IT-Issues, Privacy, Protocols, Standards, Internet-Infrastructure, Research, etc, etc, aspiring member of IEEE and ACM, if I only could make myself pay the membership-fee's. I only recently started to be more active Online, after 10 years of traveling. I fail spelling in many languages, still judge me by my words. http://www.twitter.com/buckybit
I am a generalist. Alexander von Humboldt, G.F.W. Hegel, etc... trying to stay on top of every weekly issue of Nature and Science Magazine, to at least understand what is going on, while monitoring Slashdot and Business News. I have no Record nor Expertise.

I also spent around 15 years regularly visiting the Technical Library of the Deutsche Museum (where Einstein was a fellow before the Nazis kicked him out) and the BSB (amongst the world largest libraries, with a huge collection of academic magazines). At the same time, I earned my living with low-income jobs, mostly in retail, while studying and socializing with my student-friends at night.Later on, I quit my job and lived unemployed for several years, traveling - even being homeless and having no legal papers.
