Prior to founding and leveraging his creative juices with The MARKET CREATION GROUP, Brett was the Vice President of Product and Marketing for Vericept Corporation, ensuring the strategies align directly to the pressing business requirements of its customers and prospects.

Prior to joining Vericept, Brett was Director of Market Solutions of Q1 Labs, Inc, an early stage network security software company. He also has significant experience in the security industry with product management and marketing, brand management and strategic marketing practices. His experience includes positions as Senior Offer Manager of services as well as Product Line Manager with Internet Security Systems. He also held senior product marketing and sales positions at AT&T's Internet Services. Brett received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee and a Masters of Science in Management of Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Brett has served as a panel leader and speaker at numerous industry and marketing events, including: Keynote address at the 6th Annual Association of Certified Fraud Specialists, The State of IT Security, The Institute of Internal Auditors Emerging Technology Conference, CSO Magazine Privacy Conference, Corporate Privacy and Information Conference, SCERT Conference, TEPR, Security and Privacy Trends for Partners Conference, Networked Economy Summit, Comdex, and RSA Security Conference. Brett currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Denver Software Club, an advisor to various CTEK member companies and a member of the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe.

Brett is an Adjunct Professor at the Univesity of Denver, Daniels College of Business, from time-to-time, teaching graduate-level marketing programs. He is an avid cyclist, a casual runner and a devoted father to his son.
