2003 — 2004 (1 year )
I filled this job under a contract arrangement between SUMCO and SAFTENG.net LLC. Primary goal was the implement my six sigma safety metrics process. In this role I was responsible for all aspects of OSHA compliance, including PSM/RMP., working with 3 US based facilities in raising their level of performance to that of a VPP facility. The key effort was the SAFTENG.net LLC SMART™ safety metrics process that shifts the focus of safety performance to leading indicators rather than lagging indicators such as OSHA rates. The business has seen a reduction of over 50% in both OSHA recordables and Lost-Time injuries. The Cincinnati facility where I was stationed has seen a reduction of over 70%.
