Brooke Thompson is currently working as an Independent Contractor and Experience Designer specializing in Alternate Reality Games and Cross Media Entertainment. Her recent public projects include: Eldritch Errors (2007-2008), an immersive horror set in the universe conceived by HP Lovecraft; Air Force Special Ops (2006), a pervasive recruitment campaign for the Royal New Zealand Air Force; My Circle on Trial (2006), an interactive online narrative campaign for Alltel Wireless; and Who Is Benjamin Stove (2006), an Alternate Reality Game for General Motors Live Green Go Yellow marketing campaign.
Brooke's primary interest is in the convergence of online and traditional media where she has worked on projects for GMD Studios, Turner Broadcasting, Warner Brothers, the American Film Institute, Shaftesbury Films, and PBS in addition to creating training and recruitment campaigns for a number of companies, organizations, and government agencies. Independently, she has worked on several Alternate Reality Games including Lockjaw, considered to be the first successful independent endeavor, and Metacortechs, a fan-fiction piece set in the universe of The Matrix.
As if writing, creating, and designing games and other new media experiences wasn't enough, Brooke has written several articles, spoken at a number of conferences, and serves as a staff writer for ARGN.com, the primary hub for ARG related news, and as a administrator for the forums at unfiction.com
