Cirque du Soleil

Privately Held; 1001-5000 employees; Entertainment industry

September 2008July 2010 (1 year 11 months)

Initially recruited for a Business Analyst mandate, I helped the development team accelerate its Learning curve of the « Sitecore » solution by providing them with field-tested best practices of this solution.

Afterwards, my role rapidly evolved to center on the planning, coordination and supervision of the production efforts.

My role in this project was at the heart of many work groups involved with the design and development of the cirquedusoleil.com recast. To name a few, the Marketing and the Internet and Social Medias directions of the Cirque du Soleil, Sid Lee, and the development teams of Cirque, CGI and Popcode Studio.

This role was key to the planning and coordination of theses teams, and also in the communication of this information to the Project Director and to the Project Comity. My implication with this project lasted for 23 of the 28 months of this major project for the Cirque du Soleil.

At the end of this project, the project team had delivered 24 micro sites including one site adapted to the mobile platform and a complete recast of the main site www.cirquedusoleil.com.

Development Manager

Ergonet

Partnership; 11-50 employees; Internet industry

January 2004September 2008 (4 years 9 months)

By defining a continuous training plan, and by implementing cross training practices, I’ve enabled the development team to proceed with efficiency and to rapidly gain .Net expertise and proficiency. My knowledge of OO, DDD, TDD principles allowed the team to vastly improve the reuse and quality of the Ergonet’s solutions.

Also, by putting in place Evolved SCM processes using Team Foundation Server (TFS) I was able to greatly reduce the efforts to maintain the solutions once delivered. By also favoring Agile approaches of SCRUM and XP types for our development cycles I was able to improve the predictability and the visibility of the project health to all parties involved. My experience with project management combined with my knowledge of the technological infrastructure of the Microsoft platform, were more than once solicited to bring to success our projects

As of 2006, I was responsible for the management of a long-term development program for Ergonet’s « PSIM/GRM » solution. For more details’ on theses solutions please consult this site: http://www.ergonet.com/Solutions.aspx?sc_lang=en
