The MPA Student Publishing Project, Project Masthead, is designed to expose an array of undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds to the excitement of a career in magazines and the challenges and rewards of working with a truly multicultural group of peers. The Project provides an opportunity for 16 students--working with a corps of esteemed journalism educators as well as professionals from the editorial and business sides of the industry--to create a unique publication focusing on media diversity. The students selected for the project will write, edit and market a magazine that will be distributed at the 2008 UNITY Conference in Chicago as well as media professionals and interested readers throughout the country.
