I am a senior web specialist at Medtronic. In this role I design and develop static HTML web sites, build complex dynamic international AJAX-based web sites which are deployed through Oracle UCM (content management or Stellent).
I'm a social media evangelist within the organization where I help integrate social media tactics and methodologies into existing marketing and communication plans. I educate employees on social media technologies, tactics, and help lead new social media projects through the development, execution, and measurement phases.
My goals are to further integrate social media into our business, create new innovative web sites, and to communicate with our customers to build better products and services

In this role I have been involved with the creation of the first active marketing based Twitter account for Medtronic.
I was the primary Twitter expert, providing insight for creating a successful campaign. I demonstrated to upper management, legal, and regulatory that our campaign reached our target audience and that Twitter can be used successfully in a highly regulated industry.
I also provided a bootcamp training session for legal, regulatory, pr, and marketing representatives in both corporate and our cardiac devision.
I've also been key member in the social media working group, whose goals are to educate employees in the company about social media, share social media best practices across the company, develop social media guidelines, and participant in internal collaboration projects.
Besides focusing on social media for internal and external purposes, I've also been leading the implementation of Omniture SiteCatalyst.
In that process, I've been working closely with our internal marketing and IT teams along with an external partner to develop the appropriate code block to capture the metrics required to meet our business needs and key performance indicators.
I've helped develop a standard implementation process and documentation for our team and frequently do the implementation as well.
I'm also the administrator for the platform, developing dashboards, scheduling reports and conducting other administrative responsibilities.
These activities are outside my of my job role, which I continue to do; design, develop, and maintain static HTML web pages and web sites built inside our Oracle content management system.

Designed and built intranet and Internet sites including medtronic.com and sister country sites. Created Oracle CMS templates using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript to allow for workflow review and distributed authoring.
Worked closely with other designer, project managers, outside agencies, and other industry experts to meet tight deadlines and exceed client expectations.
Worked in tandem with an SEO specialist to refine existing marketing web sites to increase Google ranking and search-ability.
Worked with Web Metrics specialist to develop and deploy new page tagging technologies from Omniture SiteCatalyst. Enabling the clients to identify sophisticated KPIs. Completed Twitter and Shopping Cart integrations with Omniture SiteCatalyst.
Created and maintained integrated one-to-one email and off line marketing campaigns, which resulted in some of the biggest year-over-year increases is product sales.
