Brian Hollar is currently a Levy Fellow in Law and Liberty at George Mason University's school of Law. He is currently working on his law degree with a focus on intellectual property and on his PhD in Economics. Brian's research interests include law and economics, public choice, and the economics of religion.
Prior to coming back to school, Brian spent over a decade working as an engineer in the power industry. His engineering experiences include project management, sales, marketing, and instrumentation and controls. Brian's work led him around the country and around the world. He spent six of those years working in intensive cross-cultural contexts with Japanese co-workers.
Brian's interest in economics was sparked while working on his MBA and after traveling around the world. He was both puzzled and heartbroken by the disparities in economic conditions between nations. Brian's travels have taken him to 7 continents (including Antarctica), 28 countries, and 50 states thus far.
