June 2006 — Present (3 years 7 months)
• Responsible for pre and post sales technical work with Xinet’s Digital Asset Management software suite as well as plug-in products that enhance the core offering. My day to day involves doing in depth demonstrations of software packages including but not limited to Xinet, Dalim Dialogue, and the NAPC plug-ins. I also work very closely with our sales staff to ensure the proper message is conveyed to the prospective client on how best to utilize and deploy the tool sets we work with. After the sales process, I work very closely with our deployment team to ensure the new system is properly installed, configured and running at the customer’s site. This includes working with Mac OS X client and server, Red Hat Server, and occasionally Windows. Once installed, I work with the client to help train the administrators of the system as well as train the “trainers” so the company can be as self-sufficient as possible. Continued support, whether it be engineering, hardware, software or workflow related, is also part of my day to day. Aside from the technical aspect of the position, I am a customer service representative of sorts. I help build and maintain strong relationships with everyone from the technicians to the C-level members of a company by speaking “geek” when needed and translating that into plain English for those that do not speak “geek”. I’ve been appointed as the ombudsman for several of our key national and international clients, which allows me to build and maintain positive working relationships as well as strengthen NAPC’s position as an industry leader.
