My experience and interest is pretty much an even split between creative and technical practices. Professionally, I work in a number of areas. I develop media and applications, ranging from digital audio and film, web and interactive media, to database-driven utilities and enterprise applications. I've also written a good deal of technical materials (user's guides, instructional overviews), as well as lesson plans for university-level coursework, which I have also taught. Similarly, I am a creative writer, and have published critical essays, poems and writing experiments in a number of underground vehicles. I’ve also written plays, radio plays, and screenplays, some of which have been produced by myself or others. I create and perform experimental film and audio work, throughout the U.S. and internationally. From 2006-2008 I co-produced/co-directed a feature-length documentary film in Tokyo, Japan. I've nearly 20 years experience in radio, as a broadcast announcer, disc jockey and producer, and I continue to do work as a commercial voice announcer and actor. I'm also recognized as a early player in the Internet Radio industry, having co-founded RadioValve, for which I also acted as Program Director for 5 years.
I'm a militant margianalist, with broad technical production skills and organizational experience in a variety of fields. This background as a generalist augments my preferred role as some form of team leader or Project Manager, working with and supervising many other specialized professionals during the process of undertaking large project initiatives.

BA, Honors , English, Media Studies , 1990 — 1993
I customized a film program, since none existed at the university, as the core of my Honors Program. Pre-Production: I wrote a feature-length screenplay, organized project funding, and received sponsorship from a local TV station, KTAB, who committed facilities, equipment and personnel. Production: Format was 3/4" video; cameras were professional standard TV news field kits. Locations were all local to Abilene, TX, and special effects sequences were shot on blue-screen at KTAB studios. Shooting occurred on weekends for 26 weeks. 40+ volunteers worked as actors and production crew. Post-Production: Film was entirely edited at KTAB studios and cut to MII. Final project was presented to the Academic Honors Committee of faculty judges, who approved it. VHS of representative scenes, and the screenplay, are available through the U.S. University Library system.
