Information Technology Strategist and Certified Project Manager
Charlotte, North Carolina Area
I'm a technology project manager with 10+ years of experience in application development management, effective communication and business operations.
My relevant experience includes
// Leading a staff of application developers at a premier mid-size private university
// Consulting with small and midsized businesses on internet marketing and PPC advertising
// Leading e-commerce web site operations at a dot com startup
I'm a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and hold an MBA.
My StrengthsFinder signature themes are:
// Futuristic. I look to the future to see where it might go and how I can shape it.
// Strategic. I strive to see patterns and solutions through the complexity and difficulty.
// Activator. I'm energized by action and performance, which are my best tools for learning.
// Input. I'm inquisitive and enjoy exploring and discussing a wide range of subjects, which keeps my mind fresh.
// Competition. I thrive on competition; it brings out the best in myself and others.
I got my start bailing hay, pumping gas, selling pork sandwiches at the Indiana State Fair, waiting tables and selling cutlery door-to-door. My first entrepreneurial experience was running a counterfeit report card operation in 6th grade using my Commodore 64. I didn't get caught, but my friend Richard did and got sent to Ohio to live with his dad. Sorry Richard.
I'm active on Twitter and have blogged more than 1000 posts since 2003. I coordinate the Pine Ridge Church internet campus, and I'm a former high school English teacher. My short-lived project 2000bricks.com was disdained by a French blog ("voyez 2000bricks par exemple: c’est clairement un flop!"), my photography was used in a Colombian article about kids with Down Syndrome ("La finalidad con la escogencia de éste tema, Programa Doman para niños con Síndrome de Down...") and my Tweet the Gospel project has reached as far as Norway ("Evangeliet om Jesus har også blitt kvittret og folk har blitt...").
