Brett Lovegrove’s Summary

I recently retired (July 2008) after serving for 30 years in the Metrpopolitan Police and the City of London Police. I retired as Head of Counter Terrorism with a particular focus on the protection of the UK's financial critical national infrastructure. In addition to overseeing the overt and covert deployment of specialist teams, I built strategic partnerships, focused on the development of the intergration of the public and private security sectors, identified resilience gaps in large corporations and NGO's, commanded major incidents, briefed governments abroad (USA, Denmark, European government at The Hague) and worked extensively with the security services. I am a member of the UKTI DSO Security Sector Advisory Group, the Defence and Security Committee of the London Chamber of Commerce, a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield University.
