Entrepreneur and Technology Business Professional
Greater Denver Area
I'm an entrepreneur and business professional who has been helping grow the digital media and Internet landscape for the past eight years.
I launched Cdigix in late 2000, a leader in the digital media space within the college marketplace. I wore all hats at Cdigix including head of marketing, sales, business development, programming and President, prior to our hiring of Larry Jacobson in 2005. We were originally based in Denver and the business is now run from Seattle.
Prior to Cdigix, I had valuable marketing, consulting and business development experiences at Best Practices, LLC and Total Sports in North Carolina, where I attended school at Duke University.
I joined Level (3) Communications in late 2007 as a Director in the recently formed Content Markets Group (CMG.) The CMG unit is focused on building value-add services on top of the expansive Level (3) fiber optic network and I'm currently involved in the construction of applications services and CDN products for the group.

I'm a Director at Level (3) Communications in Broomfield, Colorado, just outside of Boulder. Level (3) is responsible for nearly 33% of the world's Internet traffic today. I'm currently focused on Product Management within our recently constructed Content Markets Group. Our group is a start-up, of sorts, within the larger Level 3 business and is geared primarily towards CDN and digital media delivery over IP. I'm engaged on a number of product efforts today including our video SaaS solution, encoding services and an HD video offering.

I started Cdigix in late 2000 to create the premier digital media service provider to the college marketplace. The Company continues to strive towards that goal and have made significant progress along the way. I teamed up with Larry Jacobson (former Prez at Real, Ticketmaster and Fox) in 2005 to help take our business to the next level and moved to Seattle to join Larry in that quest. In my most recent position with the Company, I oversaw marketing, content and programming, business development and industry affairs.

July 1999 — June 2000 (1 year)
As a member of the Marketing team, I developed a strategic plan to achieve revenue growth of 350% for fiscal year 2000 for the firm’s online report marketplace.
I also devised a marketing campaign for the resale of the firm’s key reports online, which lead to a 130% increase in web page requests and 1,200% jump in resale revenue.
I was a Project manager and co-author for Merger and Acquisition Integration Excellence, a major national study underwritten by twelve Fortune 500 companies including Intel, Sprint and Lucent Technologies. I helped author a few other publications during my time as well.
(Privately Held; 51-200 employees; Internet industry)
August 1998 — May 1999 (10 months)
I worked in the marketing and business development divisions for this Internet sports information and data-distributing firm. I wrote press releases and a monthly newsletter while working with university and professional sports administrators on innovative marketing strategies. The company was acquired by Quokka Sports in 7/00.
