As Vice President of Hill & Knowlton Canada’s Digital Communications group, Brendan provides strategic counsel and leadership on Internet and new media communications – including social media (blogs, social networks etc.) online marketing, crisis and stakeholder relations – including issue-based micro-sites – collaboration and knowledge sharing, and site deconstruction and design. His value is his ability to develop effective online strategies that integrate with traditional communications methodologies.
Brendan’s experience in digital communications includes social media strategy development and execution (including blog outreach, application development (Facebook and others) and monitoring campaigns) for clients in the consumer goods, technology, banking and energy sectors; the development of issue and product micro-sites, including online campaign tools, for both private and public sector organizations, including Fortune 500 corporations; digital strategy and corporate site development; and audits of existing digital strategies.
In addition to his consulting work, Brendan facilitates training seminars for many H&K clients, helping them to better understand the risks and opportunities presented by emerging social media technologies. He speaks at trade events across Canada. Brendan also works closely with Hill & Knowlton’s Crisis Communications Practice in his secondary role as a writer and strategist. In his capacity as a senior writer and editor, Brendan develops compelling, on-strategy, message-driven content including Annual Reports, Web Content, Marketing Brochures, White Papers, Press Releases, Corporate Collateral, Matte and Bylined Articles, Opinion Pieces and Editorials, Letters, Speeches, and Advertising Copy.
