I am currently doing my M.Sc degree at Dr. Anton Post's Molecular Ecology lab, researching the molecular mechanisms of nitrogen stress response in ubiquitous photosynthetic marine cyanobacteria. My goal is to identify a central nitrogen metabolism controlling transcription factor binding sites on the bacterial genome, using the latest immunoprecipitation and high-throughput sequencing techniques. My research at the lab involves using various biochemical and molecular techniques.
