As a Contract Specialist, I gather market data to help acquisition teams identify the best approach for government projects. I publish requests for proposals; collect, review and compare the submitted proposals; and award contracts to the selected contractor. For sealed bid procurements, I analyze the bids and company data for the apparent high bidder to ensure the government is selecting a responsible bidder. After contracts are awarded I modify contracts and issue tasks orders for indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts.
In the end, the goal is to get the best product at the best price for our Government. A good deal is important to all of us -- it is Not THE Government . . . it is OUR Government.
I have experience with many different aspects of User Assistance development. As a programmer, project manager, writer, team lead, information architect, and manager I have worked with various hardware and software programs. One of my favorite projects was working on IBM Rational Team Concert (powered by Jazz - www.jazz.net). Working with an agile team, using tools that help define and enforce team practices, made an exciting environment where we felt good about the released product.
In my spare time I build websites for small business and non-profits. I enjoy helping churches and other organizations build and grow their web presence.
