Brad Schepp’s Summary

Need a writer, editor, researcher, or consultant? Hate boring writing and prefer to offer readers value for their hard-earned dollars? Me too. Let's see how we can work together. My wife Debra and I often work as a team, so you get two skilled wordsmiths for the price of one.

I write timely, fact-filled, anecdote-rich nonfiction books and articles. My goal: Not to write anything I wouldn't enjoy reading myself.

For publishers like McGraw-Hill, Wiley, and HarperCollins I've written 18 books on topics like:

>>eBay and Amazon Selling

>>Kids and the Web

>>Green Energy

>>Early Television

>>Telecommuting

>>Making Money with YouTube

*********************************************************
Here's how it started. As a kid I built a home chemistry lab. I soon wrote my first book--all about creating your own home chemistry laboratory (naturally). After college I worked at Philadelphia's Franklin Institute Science Museum.

More recent jobs:

McGraw-Hill: Senior acquisitions editor for business and computer books with strong trade appeal. (1990-1996)

AOL/Time Warner: Editorial Director for AOL's book publishing program. Grew this from 2 titles a year to 15, boosting revenues from $5 million/year to $20 million/year. (1997-1999)

From 2000 to 2002 I went to the Silicon Valley to learn first hand what dot-com mania was all about. I was a Content Director for MightyWords, which published long articles just for the web.

I've always written books when I wasn't at my full-time job. Now I write and consult full-time.

My first published book --The Complete Passive Solar Energy Book--came out in the early 1980s. More recently, my wife and I wrote eBay PowerSeller Secrets, an Amazon bestseller for McGraw-Hill with more than 40,000 copies in print.

I also consult with businesses interested in e-commerce and publishing.
