In short, my passion is starting and growing businesses and helping people do the same. I've had the entrepreneurial 'bug' ever since I can remember. I have interests in both non-profit and for-profit organizations, but I always try and bring non-profit values into my for-profits...and vice versa. Every day, I try to help individuals succeed in small business.

eHighSchoolTickets is a free online ticketing service for high schools. Parents and students can purchase tickets for dances, plays, and sporting events on our website without a transaction fee. Similarly, there is no cost for the schools because of our third-party sponsorship model. Local, regional, and national merchants advertise to our users, making the service free for everyone. We also take a piece of our top-line revenue and distribute it to participating high schools. Managing over $100K in capital, I ran eHighSchoolTickets as President. In our first year of business we signed up 3 clients and multiple sponsors such as John Roberts Salon (TM), Sephora (TM), and Chipotle (TM).

December 2002 — December 2003 (1 year 1 month)
For my final cooperative education experience, I ran a research project at Ethicon Endo-Surgery (a Johnson and Johnson company) in Cincinnati. The premise of the project was to determine if it is possible to cure Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (a condition in which the medial nerve becomes compressed) with high-frequency ultrasound. My experience in the R&D department was quite exciting, as I had the ability to design and implement experiments, analyze the results, and report my findings.
(Non-Profit; 10,001 or more employees; Hospital & Health Care industry)
December 2001 — August 2002 (9 months)
For my second cooperative education experience, I had the opportunity to work with a PhD on an exciting research project. Adiabatic Scoliosis, or curvature of the spine, is a condition that some children will have to deal with during puberty. There are traditionally two treatments for the condition, having the child wear a back brace, and for more sever cases, a highly invasive surgery that requires hospital stay for the child. The research project examined a staple that was inserted into the growth plate to induce (and hence reduce) curvature of the spine.

December 2000 — June 2001 (7 months)
For my first cooperative education experience, I worked at General Electric Power Systems in their Energy Rentals Division. I served on the Project Support staff, as we launched the new TM2500 Program. The TM2500 was a trailer mounted LM2500, an aero-derivative engine that was capable of generating 22MW of electricity (enough to power 22,000 homes.) GE saw this market opportunity of substantial mobile power and was able to capitalize by being first to market. My job was a mixture of engineering, sales, and business administration.
