Brian has successfully launched and grown digital businesses for startups and large companies spanning financial services, media, education, and retail. While driving online strategy and digital marketing as VP of e-Commerce for Scholastic, he launched online stores for core businesses, transformed traditional media into online subscription businesses, and implemented subscriber referral and social marketing programs. Prior to Scholastic, Brian led online customer marketing and web strategy for citicards.com, and defined the integration plan for all Citigroup consumer online banking businesses. Before Citi, he held business and product development leadership roles at Barnes & Noble.com during it's growth from dot com startup to leading eCommerce business. There Brian launched the cross channel gift card, wireless and interactive TV eCommerce, music and prints stores, and built an ad sales channel. His career began at Accenture, re-engineering direct marketing and inventory processes for clients such as Reader's Digest and Toys 'R' Us. He consults and serves on the advisory board of digital startups, as well as serves on the board of directors of Replications, an education based non-profit. Brian received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette University.
