I obtained a PhD in English and taught at several institutions before moving into the field of instructional technology, where I developed expertise in exploring emerging technologies, such as blogs, wikis, and Second Life, and developed and conducted faculty workshops and one-on-one consultations on best practices in using Blackboard, editing videos , and creating basic web sites. I conducted pilots of new technologies and worked to develop an iTunes U site.
