Brad Pendergraph's Summary
I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1991, working with both US domestic and international markets ranging from Europe to Egypt to Brazil. I have been privately involved in Social Media / New Media since April 2005 and have done multiple interviews and production for my own show, as well as produced segments for several other PodCasts. This personal experience eventually helped me migrate from Database Management into a corporate Social Media Marketing position.
Beginning with my membership in Novartis' Social Media Catalyst Team in 2008, I worked with various Social Media organizations and researched Social Marketing and Social Media in Customer Relationship Management, Word of Mouth Marketing, and Direct to Consumer Marketing. I was a member of the team, which was comprised of global communications and legal members, that created the Novartis Social Media Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures. I was also on the author team that responded to the US FDA's request for comments as part of their development of Social Media Guidelines. After working in a consulting capacity with Novartis' cystic fibrosis team, I joined the Multi-Channel Marketing team in May 2010. My current responsibilities involve acting as driver and advisor to our Ethical Pharmaceutical brands in the area of Social Media/Marketing, developing metric analyses, as well as creating internal practice guidelines based on the standard operating procedures.
