Genista Research enabled mobile communications industry to provide highest subscriber service quality at lowest cost through a unique approach to radio resource management. We worked on a platform that improves the capacity and coverage of base stations and enhance call clarity and battery life of mobile phones. We created a series of software modules that provided the finest sound quality with minimal power consumption by solving capacity problems of circuit-switch voice services.
This solution for GSM and WCDMA featured several combined transmission rate and power control mechanisms including improved power control based on perceptual quality metrics instead of bit-error-rates (RxQual) or receiver power levels (RxLev) and algorithm for switching between half-rate and full-rate physical channels.

Project Info: FMIS was for data transfer between different business units in a safe and secure way. The system was capable of processing multiple client requests simultaneously. All data transactions were routed through the server and were logged. A proprietary protocol was used for transferring data between clients. Features such as Servelet Chaining was used in server application, JDBC calls to access database, embed servelet calls with in HTML documents and Java web server (JWS) to support servelets were used.
Developed user profiles for various security levels at GUI and database tiers. Debugged Java code using JBuilder. Database access was performed using JDBC. Worked with Java serverlets that generated HTML at run time. Java Swing 1.2 was used for GUI. Designed, developed and tested Java Applets.
