Tucson, Arizona Area
I provide writing services through Riel World Communications and work in various other capacities as an author, freelance journalist and speaker.
I'm the author of the book "Two Laps Around the World: Tales and Insights from a Life Sabbatical." The book chronicles the experiences that my wife and I had during two round-the-world journeys. Additionally, I maintain a blog called "Travels in the Riel World," which you can read at www.rielworld.com.
I have considerable experience in writing about travel and cross-cultural subjects, and have worked as a newspaper journalist and in corporate communications.
Along with my writing credentials, I have experience as a speaker, consultant and educator. I've given talks to community groups, conducted cross-cultural workshops for businesspeople, taught classes for The Princeton Review and EF Education, and worked as an Educational Program Manager at Up with People.
These professional skills are supported by considerable personal experience with the cultures of the world, as I've traveled to 45 countries on six continents and to 48 U.S. states.
