Most of my professional experience has been in industrial automation, especially in the glass container industry. I've written software sensing and control systems for various kinds of industrial robots and synchronization of production line processes, often in hostile high temperature/vibration environments. The kinds of systems which I've worked on are designed for continuous operation requiring high reliability and adhering to safety standards.
I have also developed computer vision systems for location of cell nuclei and neuronal processes in microscope images, animal biometrics, stereoscopic ranging and datamatrix pattern reading and verification on metallic surfaces.
