Prior to opening Waypoint in late 2004, I spent over 20 years in the financial and retail industries as an executive director. In addition to my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Tech (1984), I have a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University (2001). I received my Certification in Home Inspection in 2005. I passed the National Home Inspector Examination in 2005, and am an active member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI #247793) and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI# 05041592.)
In addition to providing residential and commercial full service and specialty inspections, I am certified with several reputable organizations to complete contracted work:
• I have been a certified contractor for Skytec Corporation since September 2005 to complete hurricane damage assessments for insurance companies during times of natural disaster in the state of Florida.
• I completed the “My Safe Florida Home” Inspector Training Program in March 2007, scoring 98% on the required exam. I am certified as a Wind and Hurricane Mitigation Inspector.
• I am also certified through Partnership for Response and Recovery Inspections (PaRR Inspections) since 2005 as an Advanced Inspector to assist FEMA with building and property assessments that have been affected by natural disasters.
Throughout my corporate career and as the owner of Waypoint, I have focused on providing excellent service while educating my clients. This commitment to the client has always been a part of my guiding principles; it is the foundation of Waypoint Property Inspection.
