IT Leader Bob
Over 20 years IT experience occupying such roles as technical delivery lead, senior technical analyst, project manager, and manager of Business Intelligence & Technical Services.
I’m also known for being able to build solid relationships with all staff levels from line employees to upper management.
For the last 12 years, I’ve been active in the JD Edwards World/EnterpriseOne ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) sector, occupying technical project leadership & CNC roles.
Prior to joining IBM as a senior consultant in 2002, I spent 6 years as an independent consultant specializing in JDE World/Enterprise One, and AS400 (iSeries) technical projects. I was then Manager of Business Intelligence & Technical Services for an integrator from 2000-2002 until I joined IBM’s JD Edwards/Oracle consulting practice.
My last 15 years in consulting have given me the opportunity to work in several industries : Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Pulp & Paper, Consumer products, Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, Services.. to name but a few.
Social Media Bob
Turned my passion for radio and audio content into being one of the pioneers of Canadian podcasting, I’ve been credited with helping create and develop the Canadian podcast community since I started podcasting in 2004. As well as hosting and producing several shows of my own, I also founded ROGIC ( www.rogic.com) , one of Canada’s first podcast networks, and am a co-founder of Canada’s premier podcasting conference, Podcasters Across Borders ( www.podcastersacrossborders.com) which each year draws podcasters and podcasters-to-be from all over North America.
My presence and actions in this space have led to several print and radio interviews, and I am a regular speaker at Podcasting and Social Media conferences and Meet-ups.

CNC Lead & technical delivery lead. Responsible for all aspects of JDE E1, object promotion, security, performance tuning, upgrade planning, etc. E1 Version 8.10, tools 8.94/7 running on DB2 on AIX (pSeries servers)

Provided technical and application support for multiple World (A72, A 73) installations. Responsibilities included technical configurations, interfaces (EDI, XML, AS2 etc), security, change management and technical project management.

Performed installation and integration of Websphere 5 application servers, support of multiple Xe installs and World on the iSeries and Wintel platforms. Technical team lead supporting the development team and infrastructure.

Participated in several projects including system migrations, automation and capacity planning. He developed custom programs and procedures to recreate configurations during side-by-side migrations, as well as save/restore automations.
Pulp and Paper
Senior technical consultant during the merger of two large corporations. My role was to provide technical and operational expertise to support application migrations & conversions, systems security, and operations automation. I developed systems management standards, as well as participating in the creation of a corporate-wide help desk.
I also performed or guided internal staff on the configuration of AS/400 (iSeries) systems; developed processes for managing, automating, and securing these systems. Planned and migrated the existing SNA AS/400 wide area network to TCP/IP and was project leader of the centralized backup & recovery project team. Security audits of several AS/400 systems.

Developed provide user and operator support on the use of iSeries systems and management tools. He developed standards for managing, automating, and supporting client systems.
