Grassroots and Advocacy Professional
Washington D.C. Metro Area
My professional experience began in the fall of 1999 after being released from the Asheville Smoke of the United Hockey League. Since then I have had professional endeavors in both politics and hockey. Both continue today.
After the 2002 Farm Bill I began working with the American Nursery & Landscape Association. At ANLA I have primarily managed our legislative conferences, developed issue messages, organized and trained stakeholders and handled lobbying and political finance disclosure.
During this same period of time I began coaching on volunteer basis for the University of Maryland Women’s ACHA Club. The U Maryland experience led to paying positions with the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association (MD) and the Towson University Men’s team (2003-2006).
In 2006 I began Red Line Hockey. RLH is custom goaltender instruction, training and analysis. I am now putting my hockey energy toward this endeavor while looking forward to opportunities surrounding the 2008 elections.
In the near future developing RLH alongside a consulting business handling administrative and advocacy needs of trade associations, non-profits and private firms is a possibility.
