Lead a Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) cross functional team of 35 highly specialized personnel to create and maintain an Oracle based, classified secret, Big Data and predictive analytics system.
• Developed/implemented an outreach strategy that increased user base tenfold to over 1,000.

Primary assistant to the deputy CIO to develop the HQDA, Army G-3/5/7 Information Technology (IT) Strategic Plan, IT Enterprise Architecture policy, and IT Governance structure. Developed the strategy and led the implementation of the Army G-3/5/7 Portfolio Management process which led to investment prioritization of 40+ Army IT systems and the creation of IT lifecycle management and budgeting plans for each. Led the development of the G-3/5/7 Data Transformation Plan to transform how the organization standardizes and utilizes data. Served as the Army representative to multiple Army and Department of Defense (DOD) IT boards, including the Joint Staff Warfighter Mission Area (WMA) IT domain board, the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS) board, and the EMDS Configuration Control Board (CCB). Led the re-development of Army Regulation (AR) 10-47 in order to establish agency functions and support responsibility for current wartime operations via the Army Operations Center (AOC). The AOC is a 24/7 operations center.
Co-founded ABW Insurance to provide a personal touch to an increasingly automated and impersonal automobile insurance market. ABW sales grew from startup to over $1.2 million annually with a growing customer base numbering over 2000. ABW Insurance is a Property & Casualty insurance agency catering to a local market in Athens, GA specializing in auto, home, and property insurance with a focus on auto insurance. Lead the Strategic Planning, Marketing, Business Development, and IT operations for ABW. Merged numerous IT systems with ABW IT systems due to an agency acquisition. Licensed Georgia Property and Casualty agent since 2004.
Launched PC POWERUSER, Inc. to provide Microsoft SQL based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation (SFA) collaboration solutions to small and midsize businesses. Served as the primary IT Project Manager and Chief Information/Technology Officer for over 300 projects representing over 10,000 hours of project management and CRM consulting. Managed a staff of 10 including 5 ACT! Certified Consultants / Microsoft Certified Professionals. Led the Sales and Marketing efforts of the company. These efforts led to the implementation of CRM solutions for over 3500 users representing more than 500 different companies including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), United Parcel Service (UPS), and Russell Athletics. Created and directed the Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC ACT! users groups to educate and develop customers. Merged numerous financial and database IT systems as a result of mergers and acquisitions by growing customer organizations.
Launched a grass roots campaign as an unknown and unconnected candidate in August 2007 out of frustration with the way our government leaders were failing to work together to solve tough challenges. Built a 21-county organization that included over 200 volunteers. Conducted hundreds of campaign events and spoke before thousands of voters. Dogged determination and a will to succeed culminated with 39% of the vote in November 2008.
