President, Syrinx Technologies LLC
Richmond, Virginia Area
In addition to my formal education, I have worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. My direct job-related experience covers several vertical markets, including higher education, state and local government, retail, banking, computer manufacturing and three different local computer VAR's. I am currently president of my second company. I currently hold the Cisco CCIE in Routing/Switching and the CISSP, arguably the two highest certifications in my industry.
My goal is to provide a well-respected product at a fair price. As president of my own company there are certainly many challenges, although I can't complain because the challenge is why I started my own company in the first place. I'm not trying to be the biggest company in town, just the one with the best reputation for being honest and fair in every transaction.
I also serve as a guest lecturer to the VCU FTEMS program. I am also consulting on integrating security topics into several programs at the undergraduate level at VCU and in the upcoming degree program in InfoSec.
