Interactive Creative: Flash, Design & Schools of Thought
Greater New York City Area
Ben Fisher is a jack of all trades. A Flash developer, a coder, an art director and an entrepreneur, his expertise bridges the chasm between "What if we..." and "Done!" He has more than ten years of experience in the digital space, working with award-winning brands such as Burger King, Volkswagen, Hilary Duff, and The FoodNetwork. He caught the Internet bug at an early age, interning at an interactive agency in middle school and co-founded his own, EKO, in high school. He navigated the adult business world mostly through trial and error, quickly learning real‐world experience is the best teacher of all. He brought that mentality to college and aggressively sought real‐world experience on and off campus.
A 2008 Journalism major, Entrepreneurship minor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ben served as president of the university's 110-student advertising club, student chairman of the region's Addy Awards and completed three internships, including 766 hours at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Under his leadership, the Ad Club tripled its active membership and was featured on AdWeek.com (Feb, 2007).
He wants to meet people who are relentlessly:
- Curious,
- Creative,
- Fun and
- Hell-bent to make a difference in the world
Linguistic fluencies & familiarities: ActionScript 2 & 3 (Object Oriented), PHP, XML, JQuery, iPhone SDK, Facebook API (FBML, FQL), HTML, DHTML, CSS, SQL/MySQL and others.
