Radio program director with more than thirty years in radio broadcasting. Worked in major US markets including (before 1988) Chicago, Houston, and Pittsburgh, plus the stations and organizations listed in greater detail here. Creative, driven, dedicated, loyal, and intelligent broadcaster seeking to grow the business from the confines of the transmitter-receiver model to the broader applications afforded by more modern technology.

Off-the-air program director. Saw WQCD through an experiment in attracting younger listeners. Returned WQCD to its core mission when it was decided that staying true to heritage would be best for the station in the long run. It was here that I taught myself the ProTools system and developed new and innovative imaging concepts for the station. Worked closely with sales and interactive departments to broaden WQCD from just a radio station to an entity touching consumers on multiple platforms.
In the fall of 2007, assisted in the concept, design, and implementation of the programming elements of New York's newest rock station, WRXP, which debuted February 5, 2008 (the former WQCD).

Helped XM Satellite Radio get off the ground. One of the original program directors hired to debut amazing radio via satellite to the USA. Worked with some of the brightest minds in the business and thrived on the spirit of starting something new, different, and...well, exciting is too weak a word.

April 2000 — August 2000 (5 months)
Fulltime part-timer (!) and utility man for KDFC, one of the finest and most successful classical music stations in the nation. What may look like a "job-between-jobs" by duration was actually one of the most enjoyable, educational, and fulfilling times of my career. It took an offer to help start something completely new to tear me away from what might have been a terrific future here.

1988 — 2000 (12 years)
Morning drive announcer on this pioneering NAC/Smooth Jazz station until 1992. Returned to station in 1993 and would stay until 2000, doing part-time air work, then Music Director beginning in 1996. It was magical and life-changing to work with and to simply know the highly regarded, visionary Steve Feinstein, KKSF PD, as well as an entire cast of impeccable broadcast and sales professionals who graced the station pre-2000.
