Marquam Capital provides clients with investment management services including ethical investments. In addition, we adhere to the highest ethical standards in all areas of our business particularly in our relationship with clients.
Marquam Capital is a registered investment Adviser based in Portland, Oregon working to meet clients' investment needs using a tactical and strategic asset allocation model.
We are able to customize this portfolio for clients who require the addition of additional ‘ethical’ screens. Our investment approach is designed around the client and is managed primarily through a highly diversified portfolio of institutional-quality mutual funds.
My focus at Marquam is on creating investment policies which conform to a variety of 'ethical' screens (e.g. green, socially responsible and Islamic) in addition to approximating the risk profile of our unscreened asset allocation model portfolios.

The mission of SharingRisk.org is to provide information and analysis of current events in the Islamic finance industry, particularly in the areas of microfinance and its interactions with other ethically-based financial systems.
SharingRisk.org seeks to promote ethical forms of finance based on the sharing of risks and reward. Currently the most common form is Islamic finance, derived from the Qur'an and Sunna. Islam's prohibition of riba (interest), gharar (contractual uncertainty) and maysir (gambling) provide the impetus for an innovative type of financial transactions based on the sharing of risk and reward and the recognition that finance was created to promote real economic activity.
