Bryan J. Smith’s Summary

Bryan J. Smith’s Specialties:

None really. I know technologies, not products -- i.e., break down to their core technologies (what they do/don't). At best, defense and financial systems are my mainstay.

If it needs integration, I integrate it. If it needs glue around APIs, I glue it with whatever language is already in use. If it is a mess of unknown quantity, I not only fix it, but I extensively document everything it took to fix it and how to prevent a similar mess in the future with Best Common Practices (BCP).

Bryan J. Smith’s Education

  • University of Central Florida

BSCpE , Electrical and Computer Engineering , 19911997

Graduated "Summa Damn Lucky" -- did the work, got out, I don't highlight myself as an uber-academic, but I know what I know and my clients/employers have found me extremely adaptive. I didn't major in EE/CE to get good grades, I just wanted to learn how the world worked from a theoretical standpoint -- both electro-physics and microeconomics. Actually enjoyed my "dynamics" class (clearly more mechanical engineering) the most.

    Activities and Societies:
Engineering College Council (1996), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (1994+) [Secretary (1995-1996)], National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) / Florida Engineering Society (FES) (1995+)
  • Oviedo Senior HS

    HSD , Academics, Business , 19871991

Given my common name, I merely provide this entry for filter/verification by former classmates.

    Activities and Societies:
American Football (lettered), Computer Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Inter Club Council
