I developed a web-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) using ASP.NET (VB.NET) and SQL 2005. I migrated existing data to the new system, and integrated an accounting system to streamline their invoicing, billing, and receiving.
The LIMS I developed has over 1 million test records and several hundred test methods. It was designed to be flexible so that once development was complete, the lab could easily integrate new equipment and new tests without having to do additional programming. Another feature of the LIMS is that it generates compliance reports that can be submitted to satisfy government regulations.

I worked as an Accounts Receivable Clerk during the Summers for two years. Besides handling cash, my duties included charge back and short pay notices as well as invoice management.
Working in the accounting department of a Fortune 500 company has given me valuable experience and afforded me keen insight into excellent accounting practices. Because of my experience at SYSCO I was able to integrate invoicing, billing and receiving into the LIMS I later developed at Mid-Continent Testing Laboratories, Inc.
