Billy Galyean’s Summary

Life is full of wonderful things. Look closely and you'll see.. Question everything!

Learn... Teach yourself. Practice. Learn more.

I seek to always move in a forward direction, bumping up against the edge of my existence professionally. personally, we touch each others lives, so I'm trying to be more aware and appreciative of the little moments resulting from that. I want to love my work, to always bring a fresh set of creative tools to the table.

To produce a new breed of change maker - citizens who think as designers. These people would be, in the words of inventor and philosopher Buckminster Fuller, a "synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist, and evolutionary strategist."

Initially brought in as a consultant, I staffed the kitchen - planned food and menu cost projections, assisted in purchasing and equipping the kitchen as well as stay on to manage operations.

This job was a unique opportunity to cook for world renowned musicians in an environment surrounded by some of the most energetic, positive and creative people I've had the good fortune to be with. A couple years later we realized this was a little more than just consulting and I wished to turn more energies to my freelance graphic design.

Served as the overseer of all things aesthetic. The late night pixel pusher subsisting on a steady diet of nicotine, caffeine and pure love for the art.. I was responsible for seeing all web projects from birth to launch and off into the great wide infosphere.

Supervised junior designers & minor project management while coding and pushing out great UI designs. All of this was a telecommuting job requiring a good deal of discipline to perform in a timely fashion.

It was my privilege to work under Steven Wynkoop, a respected leader in the area of converting B2B brick and mortar businesses to "click and mortar" while also publishing several books for Microsoft and Wrox Press on the topic of SQL database authoring of which he is an expert.
