Bill Sheridan’s Summary
Since joining the MACPA in 2000, I have created, co-written and maintained our daily blog, CPA Success; created, written and produced our weekly podcast, CPA Spotlight; and created a series of electronic newsletters that provide our members with monthly headlines and resources in four subject areas (taxation, technology, resources for CPA firms, and resources for CPAs in business and industry).
As editor, I oversee content for both the MACPA's Web site and its bimonthly member magazine, the Statement. My articles about the MACPA and the CPA profession have appeared in Association Management and SmartCEO magazines and have been distributed nationally by the American Institute of CPAs.
My work as a freelance writer draws upon nearly two decades of print and electronic journalism. Much of my writing experience centers on human-interest writing. I especially enjoy writing in-depth features on interesting people or events. Most of the time, my subjects are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things.
Before joining the MACPA, I spent more than a decade as a print and online journalist.
