Partner, Sr. Internet Analyst at ThinkEquity Partners
San Francisco Bay Area
I've spent the past eight years working as an equity research analyst covering the Internet advertising and digital media sectors. As a "sell-side" research analyst, I spend the majority of my time creating and communicating proprietary investment ideas to "buy-side" institutional investors, including long/short hedge funds and long-only mutual funds. I also spend a considerable amount of my time assisting in the equity capital raising process for public and private companies. Over the past several years, for instance, I've participated as an analyst in the successful initial public offerings for Google, Fastclick, eHealth, and OpenTable, among others. I also spend a significant amount of my time advising public and private Internet companies on strategy, business development and investor relations.
Prior to my career on Wall Street, I spent several years working within the Internet industry in sales and business development roles, and as an entrepreneur. I also have experience in venture capital and private equity investing.
I continue to enjoy equity research and am proud to be a Partner and member of the management team at ThinkEquity. Eventually, I would like to apply my industry expertise and finance experience within a later stage private (or small-cap public) Internet company, or return to venture capital/private equity.
