I have published over 425 papers in a wide variety of neuroscience fields, ranging from bound-water effects in model membranes to higher cognition in humans. See www.cvm.tamu.edu/wklemm for work history, vita, publication list, etc.
My current goals (I now work only half time at Texas A&M University and am semi-retired) is to advance the effectiveness of university outreach efforts to improve science and technology in K-14.
I am also an author of over 13 books. My current book, to be released in July 2008, is "Blame Game. How To Win It." Recent ones include:"Thank You Brain for All You Remember. What You Forgot Was My Fault" (see Web thankyoubrain.com and also memory-research blog at thankyoubrain.blogspot.com); "'Dillos. Roadkill on the Road to Extinction" (see dillos.us); and "Core Ideas in Neuroscience:" (see neurosciideas.com). Current emphasis is on educational outreach (see peer.tamul.edu).
Technology transition; Research areas: range from model membrane biochemistry to human cognition and memory.Author: 13 books.Developing expertise in book production and design.K-12 science and technology education: includes writing Web-based middle-school science curriculum, a curriculum that integrates science with other subjects, and a curriculum to support visits to schools by practicing veterinarians - see http://peer.tamu.edu) Supported by N.I.H. or N.S.F. grants valued at over $6 million.
