• Monitor customer and network segments 24X7, creating trouble tickets and
begin troubleshooting as necessary
• Support Data Center customer needs
• Perform troubleshooting, installation, activation of various physical access
mediums such as DSO, T-1’s, DSL and others.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network switching hardware
• Provide after hours support for other Norlight business units
• Work live hot-cuts on customer Move Add or Change requests to
their products and services
• Escalate maintenance related trouble tickets to appropriate vendor/partner
until resolved

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


Education/Training/Experience:
• 2-5 years direct telecommunications industry or networking experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate circuit level problems
• Experience with CPE such as: Routers, CSU/DSU’s, and Firewalls
• Experience installing and maintaining IP packet networks, frame relay,
ATM and switched long distance services
