Worked in wildland fire management with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service. The last position with the federal government was with the NPS as Zone Fire Management Officer for 7 national parks in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Following that, I served as the Executive Director for the International Association of Wildland Fire. I am now the owner of Sagacity Wildfire Services, doing wildland fire consulting, writing land management plans and instructing wildland fire, emergency management, and Incident Command System courses. I enjoy motorcycle riding, including long-distance touring, and have a sport-touring bike, a Yamaha FJR 1300.
