Primary responsibilities include local administration of automated library management system (Ex Libris Aleph) in a shared management environment with SUNY system staff, including overall coordination of automation activities involving the various Aleph modules as well as associated systems and functions. Working closely with the Library Technical Specialist, the Systems Librarian assumes general oversight of Library technical services functions including cataloging, maintenance of bibliographic database, acquisitions, processing, and collection management. The Technical Services Librarian also provides technical and administrative management of electronic resources including all contracted database systems. This individual is also assigned limited duty at the reference desk.
