Bill Brantley is a cutting-edge researcher and innovative teacher in public administration, project management, change management, and nonprofit management while also serving as the president of a large nonprofit organization and as an effective member of the University of Louisville faculty senate. In those positions, his vision and organizational skills have helped grow and transform those organizations for the better.
Bill is the President of Knowledge Design and Engineering where he consults in project management, change management, knowledge management, and business process management with a special emphasis in public administration and nonprofit organizations. He has been a trainer for over ten years and a college professor for six years. Bill has taught both online courses and traditional college courses at three different universities. He has an MBA, MA in Political Management, and is a certified Project Management Professional. Currently, Bill is finishing a PhD in Public Administration with an emphasis on non-profit management and knowledge management.

Instruct students each semester in the planning, design and construction of websites. Course designed to use active learning concepts such as problem-based learning, incentive-based grading, and team-based learning in addition to traditional lecture. The course is a blended model in that Blackboard is used to supplement the in-class activities. Have also taught independent studies for students who want to expand on the concepts taught in this course. For example, I taught an independent study in which the student learned to produce digital video for websites.

First project: converted thirty-eight Lotus Notes Applications into ASP applications that are used by petroleum engineers to schedule and maintain refinery operations. Second project: created an inventory tracking application for the Symbol 8100 Pocket PC Scanner. Third project: analyzed and created technology plan for the University of Louisville Medical School Palm education program. Fourth project: created HIPAA-compliant website for a ten-doctor medical practice.
