My experience with two companies over the past thirty years has ranged from Inventory Control Manager to Senior Vice President.
I have led the development of product lines that have added over twenty percent to the company's sales within two years on more than one occasion.
I have led the implementation of a national warehouse network including the systems to support them.
My global sourcing background began in 1989 and includes travel to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Israel, Germany, Belgium, and Canada to develop products, relationships, and sources. In addition I have dealt with companies in India, Italy, Spain, France, and England.
I have developed and implemented forecasting programs and models that improved customer service and inventory turns especially in the area of new products.
I have worked with the operational personnel at many major retailers including Walmart, Target, Lowes, KMart, Sears, Do-it Best, to understand their requirements and to insure the company I was working for met and exceed their expectations.
Led the Purchasing and Materials Planning functions at my last company for over eleven years as well as responsible for product development and product improvement.
As a vendor manager developed relationships and partnerships that led to major cost savings as well as productivity improvements within operations.
I have also been responsible for costing and pricing of products and setting of goals for cost reductions.
My ideal job would be to marry these experiences and acquired skills to help and organization grow. My ideal organization would be a consumer products company with between $30-$100 million in revenue.
