Brian Rice’s Summary
Brian G. Rice is a political Blogger and President of the Liberal Party of Canada's Pitt Meadows - Maple Ridge - Mission Electoral District Association. He was born in Belleville, Ontario, and spent his first 20 or so years living in Brighton, Ontario.
During his career, he has been a gas jockey, a landscaper, a graphic designer, a computer salesperson, a programmer, a software architect, a project manager, a project management trainer, a public speaker, and a team and business coach. He has frequently been self-employed, but has also spent time as an employee. He has been both a grunt, and an executive, most recently being the Executive Vice President of a diversified group of companies that included holdings in fitness, sports nutrition, real estate, self storage and equipment leasing.
Currently, Brian is taking time to explore his political interests and renovate his house. While he has always had an interest in politics, it wasn’t till the December 2008 constitutional crisis that he joined the Liberal Party. Since joining the party, Brian has become an active political blogger, tweeter and facebooker, and is President of his EDA. While Brian is currently looking forward to being intimately involved locally in the next federal campaign, he would eventually like a paying gig with the party.
Brian G. Rice lives in Mission with his wife Sharolyn, his daughter Isabeau, and his dog Casey. Brian and Shar are currently expecting their second child. Brian is “bgrice” on almost every social networking service, and you can find his blog at bgrice.com.
