CPA, IT Consultant, and Professional Speaker
Knoxville, Tennessee Area
I'm a CPA, a technology consultant, an educator, married to the same wonderful lady for the last 15 years, and the father of a wonderful six year old boy.
Professional:
I'm an associate with K2 Enterprises, and do training and consulting with CPA's on accounting systems, office productivity, working in a paperless environment, and process reengineering. In this role, I travel more than 100,000 miles a year. I've taught CPE classes for most of the state CPA societies, and have been doing this since 2002.
I'm also a senior faculty member with Becker Professional Review (started with them in 1997). In this role, I teach live and online classes to help accountants pass the Certified Public Accountant exam. I currently have around 100 students I'm working with (some online, and some in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I'm the lead instructor for the course).
Finally, I'm a practicing CPA and a Certified Information Technology professional. I started my career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1992, and have worked with local and regional firms in both professional and a technology support capacity. I'm a recovering internal auditor (one day at a time), having set up an internal audit department, as well as managed an existing department.
My mission is to use my varied experience to help others be more effective and efficient through the use of technology.
