Roberto Largman’s Summary

With a journalism degree from the PUC-RJ University, Beto Largman was a professor of Social Communication at the same university from 1987 until 1992. Since 1985 he has been working in the area of Corporate Communication with a portfolio that includes clients such as Petrobras, Sistema Globo de Rádio, Rexam, Repsol, Chevron/Texaco, Sindigás, ANTF and ABTP. He took part in the restructuring of the Communications Department of the Vale, specifically in the Press Relations Department.

He has created the newspapers Hit (in partnership with the Richards label) and 2 Pontos (exclusively produced for the Corpo & Alma label), about art and culture, both pioneers in the concept of customized publications. He produced the Movie Festival Mostra Cantão de Cult-Movies, the first event of its kind in Rio de Janeiro. He designed and produced the program Sétima Arte for Globo FM Radio, dedicated to movie soundtracks. For television, he has worked, among others, on the program Conexão Internacional, as a writer, editor, narrator and presenter.

He was the editorial director and editor in chief for the Metro newspaper, during the first attempt by the Swedish group Metro International to launch the tabloid in Brazil, in 2000, and editor of the arts and culture magazine Gávea.


In August of 2005 Largman began to write a blog with the objective of sharing with the greater public news about technology, internet and design. Feira Moderna managed to captivate both aficionados, the so-called “geeks”, as well as an audience that is typically not interested in these topics. The blog was one of the first to be hosted by a major news portal in Brazil and is always one of the five best read in Globo Online (2nd place in June, 2007 with an average of 30.000 single visits per month).
