Berrie Bloem’s Summary

I am a determined and highly experienced IT professional with many years in the industry working mainly for co-founded enterprises in the digital media arena.

I've started Home Media Networks Limited followed by Codevio together with Colin Tinto and Michael Tortolano. HMN is best known for its flagship product ShowShifter which was the de facto standard of media center software and the pioneer that paved the way for a multitude of applications in this space today.

Codevio continues to build on this success story by providing solution design and development services to the digital media manipulation industry. Our main areas of expertise are digital television (DVB, IPTV), video, music, and photo presentation and interaction.

My role focuses on the creation of attractive and intuitive 10 foot user interfaces which complement the visually rich environment of digital media, and allow natural interaction with broadcast and local sources. I am also responsible for the creation of an electronic program guide (EPG), a digital music player, a digital photo viewer, and a UPnP client and server.

I am an experienced web developer responsible for all aspects of creating and maintaining corporate and product websites including e-commerce facilities. This is now evolving into CMS based solutions.

During my early career I successfully created and marketed a software game which to this day is being distributed world wide by one of the major American publishers specializing in family oriented entertainment.

I am always interested in new opportunities which can make good use of my skill set. I have a proven track record of innovation and on-time delivery. If you have a requirement in the digital media manipulation sector, or any application development then don't hesitate to contact me.
