My kindergarten teacher predicted I would be a writer. While other students were still practicing basic handwriting, my second grade teacher was covertly teaching me the concepts of written dialogue. By high school, I had an internship at a fashion magazine under my belt and was planning on pursuing a career in journalism. I joined my college’s newspaper and yearbook and quickly worked my way up in both organizations. I have actively pursued journalism and media activities and loved every minute of it. But when a profound passion for service and social action surfaced early in college, I knew I was meant to apply my skills to the world of nonprofits.
The experiences I had in college with volunteer work and managing various social justice campaigns, as well as my experience working for a budding nonprofit the past year have prepared a solid foundation for such work.
I have a professional and unique personality perfect for working with the employees and clients served by nonprofit organizations.I have a deeply rooted desire to facilitate peacefulness in the world, through subtle interactions with coworkers or through getting involved in social causes. It is truly important to me to influence the world, and the thing that underlies this unconscious drive is a deep respect for humankind. I care about the future of the world, even beyond my own involvement in it. As a result, my personal integrity acts as a surrogate for my deeper drive toward peace and guides me in daily life towards decisions that are respectful toward others and myself.

Causecast makes it easy for people to get involved in the causes they want to support in the way they want to support them. In my role, I work closely with nonprofits and for profits on opportunities to get involved with the site both in online and off-line capacities. I am an active part of both the graphic arts and nonprofit communities and am passionate about the role Causecast will have in revolutionizing the way people find out about causes online.
